Link Building is the difference between the first page & the second page, the #1 spot and the #2 spot, the authority blogs & the subpar blogs. Link building is what keeps SEOs up at night. Not knowing how to properly address a webmaster in an email, how to leverage relationships in your niche, or how to choose the right link building strategy for your particular niche is the difference between a great SEO & a bad one. So with all of that riding on your shoulders, why not just learn from the best? Luckily for you, you can! Just tune into some of the world class link building blogs available on the Web. Because Point Blank SEO is one of the top link building blogs on the Web, I decided to share with you a few others you should be aware of.  Here are the top 10 link building blogs for 2012:

1. KaiserTheSage (twitter)

Just after reading a few posts, I knew Jason Acidre was the real deal. Nearly every post he writes brings something to link building that you can’t find anywhere else. If you’re looking for something new, you should definitely check out some of his posts like Link Building Strategies for smaller brands, creative link building resources, and link magnetism.

2. Ross Hudgens’ blog (twitter)

Being one of Ross’ biggest fans, I can’t get enough of his blog. If you haven’t checked it out, start with some of his best content link Please Exit The Link Building & Link Building with Google Alerts. I’d also highly recommend you follow him on twitter; he’s always on top of the latest SEO & Link Building news.

3. Ontolo (twitter)

OntoloA provider of one of the best link building tools on the web, Ontolo also provides a goldmine of a link building blog. Granted they post often about their tools, they’ve impressed me with some of the most comprehensive & insightful link building content on the web such as their guest post guide and their post on how to bullet-proof your backlink profile against link stalkers.

4.  Vertical Measures (twitter)

Being a trusted provider of link building services, Vertical Measures is yet another awesome link building blog. One of the cool things this blog that most blogs can’t say they provide is an awesome image with every post. Check out their latest posts such as why you should choose partial over exact match anchor text & how HTML5 ties into SEO.

5. Seer Interactive (twitter)

Seer Interactive

Wil Reynolds & his team do a great job with this blog. Having a wide range of link builders writing for the same blog helps to provide perspective on a lot of hot link building topics, such as Guest Blog Research & Building Links with Twitter. If you haven’t already, follow Wil Reynolds on twitter.

6.  Debra Mastaler’s LinkSpiel (twitter)

Debra Mastaler

Debra Mastaler is one of the most trusted link builders in the industry, and luckily for us she shares her expertise on her blog. Some of her recent posts include her link building recommendations when using contests & how small businesses can build links & likes with Facebook. I’d also recommend  following her on Quora.

7.  Wiep Knol’s Blog (twitter)

Wiep Knol

Wiep Knol is one of my favorite link builders, but the only reason he isn’t listed higher is because he doesn’t post as often as he should! If you’re reading this Wiep, I hope you can get around to writing more :). Despite of this, you can still find some awesome link building content, including posts like Promoting Failed Link Bait & his August link round up.

8. SEOmoz (twitter)

Although SEOmoz doesn’t post about link building as often as the other blogs listed here, they still have some of the most authoritative link building content on the web. If you’re looking for link building posts on their blog, save yourself some time and go to their link building category. I recently guest posted on their blog about the Check My Links chrome extension.

9. Wordtracker (twitter)

Mal Darwen, Justin Deaville, and Mark Nunney bring a unique twist to link building in the form of their tool Wordtracker. They recently posted about the 10 reasons why your link requests are failing, a must read those sending out daily link request emails. They also recently launched their YouTube channel, so check it out if you’re looking for beginner SEO videos.

10. Linkbuildr (twitter)

Ryan Clark is one the more underrated link building bloggers in my opinion. Time after time he’s impressed me with new, awesome link building content, such as his post on link building tactics in 2011 & 10 Big Brands that Google penalized for paid links.
